ROGERS
Harold A. Rogers, 76, of Jacobus, Pa., died Monday, September 14, 1998 at 10:30 p.m. of natural causes in York Hospital.
Mr. Rogers was born on June 8, 1922 in Athens (Bradford County),
Pa. to the late Linn H. and Clara E. (Extrom) Rogers and was a retired laundry manager for the York County Nursing Home.
He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines in World War II, was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and a 1940 graduate of West Hazelton High School.
He is survived by his wife Olive V. (Pittman) Rogers of Jacobus, Pa.; 3 daughters, Louise C. Jacobs of Salt Lake City, Utah, Joyce D.
Rinehold of York, Pa., and Gloria J. Duke of York, Pa; son, James A.
Rogers, of Richmond, Va.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Rogers.
Remains can be viewed from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 1998 and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 1998. Both viewings will be held at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, Pa. 17403 with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Dennis C. Quackenboss, his pastor and the Rev. George R. Naumann, assistant to the pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Mount Rose Cemetery, York, Pa.. Contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 2580 Mount Rose Ave. York, Pa. 17402.
Etzweiler Funeral Home in charge of services.
