Dear Ms. Anderson,

I was searching the Rootsweb message boards for some information and came across your query about Miss Extrom's obituary. Miss Extrom was my fourth grade school teacher--in 1947 at the big school on the hill that has since burned down, but I remember Miss Extrom and her classroom very well. She was an excellent teacher. She was severely injured in an auto accident on Jugtown Mountain Road that year--Mrs. Bloomer, the principal was killed, and I am not sure about Miss Goldsmith who lived with Miss Extrom, but I do reall the house where they resided near the edge of Flemington on the road to Cherryville, as my father took me to visit with them after the accident.

I go back to the Flemington area about once a year and I will try to get a copy of the obituary from the file in the library, if that is possible. I will not be going until the Fall, but I will try.

Yours truly,

Joan Cornish
